Hey, I think that maybe a bassist exchange program might be nice. Mike, you go to Germany, Oliver, you can come to Washington DC and I'll go to L.A. Let's see if anyone notices. If they don't, we're all doing our respective job correctly. Now wouldn't that be a hoot!!!!

What I'd like to know is how far do you take this tribute stuff - do your bands leave trashed hotel rooms in your wake as you travel around? Do your guitarists smash their instruments and amps at the end of each show? Have any of your drummers ever driven a caddy into a pool? (nyuk, nyuk) Just wondering.

Hey Bill,
I think there are a few bands that grace the audience with some encore type distruction. The Wholigans from Fla and (the other) Who's Next from the UK have been known to smash an SG or two. As for the Quads..none of us look like anyone in the Who (unlike Dave from the U.S. Who's Next .. http://www.whosnesttribute.com ) but we dawn some similar clothes and play the heck out of the music. I think if you check out out the Quads MP3's you'll agree that Clint sounds very similar to Roger Daltrey.

Stoney;

Do you mean "whosNEXTtribute.com"? I would think "whosNESTtribute.com" would be an Eagles tribute band, or maybe the Byrds! (nyuk, nyuk).

I really envy you guys for being able to get people together to form a tribute band. I've been trying to do such a thing in Staten Island, NY but NY is a hiphop/disco town. The guys who do play rock are mostly metal heads or into doing covers of almost every band except The Who. Wish all you guys the best of luck adn if any of you ever make down to the NY area, please let me know.

Hey Peter, thanks. Check out the Who's Next site and go to one of their shows. Their bassist kicks A$$. I'll be playing a few gigs with them this summer. I'll post them on the site. BTW, Washington DC isn't exactly known as the rock ' roll capital of the world ya'know....
