Anyone heard of Stash basses

As my mother-in-law would say: that's different! I'm not really a fan of how it looks, but I checked out some of the YouTube clips, and it definitely sounds like a bass! I don't know how I would fare with that skinny rounded neck, but the guy in the video seemed to find his way around okay! I'll be interested to see what others have to say about it. I can think of many other instruments I could buy for 3K. The "Farmer Viking Construction Worker " in me likes it ,but the musician /engineer is in the wait and see mode. I want Alembic pickups and electronics in mine anyway . Our guitar player left his EVH Wolfgang guitar in the case in the direct sunlight & the heat melted the wax in the pickups & the guitar would not play! Luckily our other guitar player had a spare guitar for him to use! Has anyone actually played one of these? I can't see any advantages of stainless steel over other rigid materials except cosmetic, and I can't quite imagine what a stringed instrument without any wood would behave or feel like. I see that there is a Youtube video of Pat Kilbride, who is a bit of a monster in Toronto, playing one. I don't think it is his, though. but it seems to do the job.
