I worked with the Neve 5088 at UC Denver when I was working on my audio degree. It came out of Caribou Studios (Nederland, CO) in 1985 after the fire. I just saw this yesterday on Palladia (cable channel) and thought it was VERY cool! The Dave Grohl directed 2013 documentary (he bought the Neve board from Sound City in LA) will be airing tomorrow night (Wednesday the 21st) on VH-1 Classic at 7 pm CDT, and is also available as a DVD. It's likely to re-air on Palladia as well. I had one of those Yamaha basses that Reznor and Homme were using.... Regret selling it, especially to a guy who in turn butchered it..... Closest thing to a bi-sonic Starfire you will ever find for <$200..... I think club member dean_m sold it to me, iirc.
