Gotta love those dudes. They can play!! Still my favorite and no matter how many times I've heard it, this song just turns my universe upside down and then right side up again. Giant grins every time I hear this (and it's in the hundreds by now!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZBlRkF0-to |

Nice! Like the intimate setting and audience in headphones. |

I'm jealous Keith! Their bass player is from Dallas so they play there a lot, but never come to Houston! Have a great time at the show! |

Found out after my earlier post that they are in Asheville on the 26th... going... a great opener too, Johnathan Scales Fourchestra from here. They're another creative fusion group with Steel Pan, Bass and Percussion - a good match up with Snarky Puppy. The bassist for JSF is Cody Wright, what a set of chops! Highly recommend if they come your way. |

WoW nice Keith!...enjoy the show, lets us know how it was but i'm sure its going to be amazing...by the way as far as Chops go there is some variable time signatures going on in this one, that the variation is what makes this one so special for me, nicely done puppies!! I mean this groove makes me jump up and grab the bass every time, but not for just the bass, I love this band as a whole, probably as much as Cosmos ART! |

We saw them with Funky Knuckles - they were a killer "warm up" band and got their EP. My 14 year old daughter loves them. (She thinks the horn players were cute - LOL - I never realized it for some reason). We missed their second show in Nashville due to a wedding. A friend of mine said it was better than the first one. Hope to see them again sometime soon. This is possibly my favorite due to the guitar parts - so cool w/ the multiple slides. Of course they're led by the bass player! Great band. Oh yeah, the drummer is killin' it! All of them are, but he stands out to me. (Message edited by edwin on September 09, 2013) |

The show was great and well worth the $15 covercharge. The Pour House is a small venue and I would guess about 200 folks total. For some reason the opening act could not make it so Snarky played the full night which turned out to be a 9 PM to 12:30 AM show. They took one break and spent that time wandering around the audience drinking a beer and talking to folks. They stuck around after the show to sign autographs and talk until the venue closed. It's nice to see not only some great musicians but also some down to earth folks. I highly recommend seeing them if you get a chance. As far as bass rig he was playing a P bass through a markbass head, 2X12 and 4X10. Didn't catch what else he had in the rack nor the effects he was using. He also played a keyboard synth bass on a couple of tunes. Keith |

As a quick hijack, is there mid-sized or larger town in the US that doesn't have a "Pour House"? I know I've worked several, none of which are the one Keith mentions. Almost as ubiquitous as "Dew Drop Inn". Peter |

I'd rather have the "Pour House" be ubiquitous than the "Poor House" (said in my best southern accent). Keith |
