I know this forum consists mostly of bass players who probably don't subscribe to the more upscale music journals...but there was a very nice write up in the April copy of Guitar Player about Allison Suter and Moody Straps. The title of the article is actually "Moody Leather Gets Sexy." Regards, Jonathan |

I'm on Moody's e-mail list so I got the link to the GP article. I not only bought all of Alembic's made-by-Moody's straps, but I ordered a bunch of Moody's own for my non-Alembics as well. Alison is very nice to deal with, and is not too hard to look at as well, LOL! |

My Alembics get Moody's as well. But, for anyone interested, Franklin makes a beautiful 4" soft leather strap that you can't beat for the money. My Gibsons have to "settle" for those. I can't remember for sure, but I think I paid in the neighborhood of $40 or so at Sam Ash. No nicer strap out there in that price range that I've ever found. I'll post a pic of a Franklin and Moddy side by side later on. Regards, Jonathan

I haven't seen those yet, only those Levy's straps, which don't seem to be too bad. I got a good deal at Moody's...they were considerably cheaper without the Alembic logo on 'em, and you get a discount for quantity. |
