My 98 Epic 5 has gold Gotoh machine heads on it. They look just like all the other Gotohs I've seen including the ones on my Epic 4. The difference is that they don't have the "A" on the back of them. Does Alembic do that often or do most of you have an "A" on yours?

Both my 96 epic 5 and 05 rogue 5 have the A on them.

Rich,
I have blank Gotoh´s with my Spyder 4 and A-Gotho´s on my Spyder 8.
Back then I asked Mica about this and she told me that whenever they run out of stock with engraved ones they have to buy normal Gotoh´s to keep the production rolling....
