Well, I’ve been away for a few months taking care of my parents. After some very touchy months, I’m happy to say that both my mom and dad are still hanging in there. The prognosis is somewhat guarded on mom, but, she’s an amazingly resilient person. I’m staying with my folks in San Andreas California until they no longer need my services. These last few months have been an irreplaceable experience for me. Life is such a sweet gift, here’s hoping we all allow ourselves time to appreciate it.

During these months, I’ve done a little wheeling and dealing. I’ve ended up with another Taylor guitar, and (drum roll please), I picked up the 5 string figured walnut top Spoiler that Bass NW had for sale. What a wonderful bass it is to be sure!

Music has come through as a teacher and a comfort once again. It’s so good that these instruments have found me just exactly at the right time.....

Take care my brothers and sisters.

I’ll write more as time permits.

Hey, Hollis, thanks for stopping by again. I do hope your folks will be OK.

I was wondering where that 5 string disappeared to! Beauty! How's the 32" scale sound? (I am sure Bsee would be interested to hear.)

Did you see the new Taylor T5 electric-acoustic?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the good wishes.

The spoiler plays very well. As far as sound.... It's an Alembic! It sounds GOOOOOD!
I'll know better how it sounds(the depth, so to speak), when I get back home and can run it through my full rig. While I'm here, I'm using the SF-2 and the F-1X into a Workingman's 15, and it sounds very nice. It plays like a dream.
