I highly recommend it. It is a great di/pre for recording. I have not used it live yet but it does get rave reviews. The first choice was an Avalon (black ltd ed.) but I decided to risk the unknown. It just sits nicely without having to mess with it. I've been using my Xotic 5 24 fret bass with a brass nut. I haven't used it live yet but I may do so for some sound gigs I have in the Spring. I have a few DI's and used various amps and preamps. This was a simple way to go and I picked it over the Avalon based on reviews. Its not cheap but if it works, it works.
