'Voodoo Chile'(slight return)..still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
The opening muted wah guitar just says it all
and then that phrase followed by a thunderous power opening...jeeze it just does it for me all the time

Is there anything besides glue to lick on the back?

I think it is really a statement about the human experience and our nation/culture that a guy who was considered a drug-addict-hippie-subversive by the government over 40 years ago is today honored by that same government.

So how many of these would you need to send a postcard to the UK? I'd be interested in sending some cash to cover the costs if anyone's interested in playing along. Our stamps all feature the queen but it's the wrong one ! :-)

Graeme:

They are "First Class Forever" stamps. Currently, first class here is $.49. They come in sheets of sixteen for $7.68. Send me your mailing address and I'll send you a sheet gratis. Us "Little British Car" guys have to stick together! lol

I would like them better if they looked more like Hendrix instead of Bernie Mac.

Bill. You are a star. Mailed you. How did the upholstery on the TR turn out?

The back side of the sheet that the stamps all stick to is a large version of the image and about 7"X7" . It is suitable for framing .

Graeme:

The new interior turned out very nicely - as good looking as a Jimi Hendrix stamp (see, staying on topic!). I'm now working on restoring a steering wheel for it.

And veering wildly (although on topic with Bill), not sure if I ever posted a pic of my upholstery. All my own work..

Veering wildly but keeping on topic with Bill, I'm not sure if I ever posted a pic of my finished upholstery. All my own work...

Graeme,
That looks great but I think you installed the steering wheel on the wrong side. How about a few more shots on a new thread.

I don't have a pic of my completed interior with me, (I'm at my office), but here's a "before" interior photo. If the weather cooperates, I'll pull the car out of the garage this weekend and take an "after" pic.

The body and paint look great Bill. As Keith has suggested I'll start a new thread at the weekend for folk to show off their cars.

Bill.
Jimi has arrived safe and sound. He looks superb. Wish we could replace the Queen with him :-)
