I like Premier Guitar, but I agree with Susan: They never ask the Wickershams to really get the story straight, or evidently read the Long Version of Alembic's History on the website. It's also funny that he mentions there was a hole in the high end bass market (I'm paraphrasing): I was around back then: What high-end basses? I guess he's talking about 4001's, EB-0's, and Starfires and Fenders . . . . and of course, the first-run Spoilers had the only Alembic decal on the headstock, a not-repeated-since trial not seen on the example in the pic. Maybe it's like the old PR line, I don't care what they say as long as they've got a good picture. J o e y |

Badly written, based on throwaway facts and no understanding or perspective. "(H)ole in the high end bass market"? Not even sure what they thought they'd accomplish other than doing a really poor job of linking that poor Spoiler to a few recognizable names. |
