In my opinion this is a stellar recording and a good analog to digital transfer. The instrumental virtuosity of the musicians speaks for its self and to my ears . There are more awesome free tidbits like this out there where everyone can hear Jerry the multi-insrumentalist as well such as his pedal steel skills. All the folks on this recording live @ Sonoma State in '73 are so awesome in my opinion. Unfortunately all have left this plane of reality and have passed except for David Grisman and Peter Rowan who are still musically active . And yes, Jerry's banjo playing is superb; the whole band is great. You've probably seen this Wolf, but I ran across this interview with Jerry this morning which I hadn't seen before.
