John Oliver would eat this up...
true story
The CFO of Walgreens made a forecasting error of expected revenues to the board to the tune of.......
$1.1 BILLION dollars. we're talking a billion here
Well needless to say he was asked to leave.
BUT before you go
So what if you f'd up, we like you...lol
Walgreen would pay Miquelon severance of $3.2 million and a performance bonus of about $1.2 million, and pay $3.3 million to Crawford as severance and consultation fees, the company said in a regulatory filing this month.

a performance bonus ??????
he f'd up by a billion dollars!!!
and how come i just get shown the door!

No doubt it was negotiated before he was hired as a back door clause. I hate it more when our tax dollars are used in this way though to buy off public ‘servants’.

A classic case of the rich get richer, but the funny thing is that his salary and parachute is not at all outrageous in context of others at his position...funny, even if I knew how to get there, I wouldn't...just could not live with myself...

Pas you are right..there is enough politics and controversy on the news channels. Best keep it to basses, motorbikes, gigs, music, cars, visits to Alembic, guitars, amps and speakers, well wishes to those who are unfortunate in health, birthdays, new aquisitions, problems with your Alembic, problems with your gear, featured customs, build records, artists & Alembics, wish lists and anything to do with the Grateful Dead.
Have I missed anything out?? LOL

Yup - you forgot Stanley Clarke! ;) (or course he fits under "artists & Alembics" but I think he deserves his own shout-out!)

Terry - You forgot beer. Without it there would be no three B's (Basses, Bikes and Beers). Time to get off the computer and decide what beer I will buy for the weekend.

I'm thinking of driving out the Carolina Brewery and picking up a couple of growlers of their IPA and red ales. Besides drinking it I also like to use the red ale in my BBQ sauce.

I discovered the Oktoberfest brewed by Goose Island - it's just malty enough to make me think "beer candy" when I drink it.

We used to get Pliny the Elder here in Washington, but no longer. I've told my wife that I want to do a trip to Santa Rosa to visit the mothership and Russian River Brewery.

Pace...do you REALLY want to do that? If ya wanna, I'll tell you all about 'the Church of Lorne Greene', my future cult that I intend to start, and when I explain it, you might be sorry! Tony

Here's a Church that I recently attended with my 1981 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim:

Beer? Anything super hoppy wins for me; however my wife has gotten into the habit of checking for the highest ABV before we buy anything!!!
