How your both fingers/pick and playing style impact the sounds of various strings cannot be duplicated in that link on any given bass. May I suggest that you speak to a reputable guitar/bass tech, who can give you some guidance. Ultimately, you will probably need to try different sets and gauges in the field to see the results you get. With all of the basses I have, I use different strings by both brand and gauge, as well as round, half round and flat varieties. There is no substitute for "hard work". Just my 2 cents, I wish it was easier.
