I got my copy yesterday and I've read through about 1966. So far, I love it!!

I thought it had a nice mix of Phil's perspectives, plus a lot of history without the kiss-and-tell that the other Dead chronicles have dwelled on.

found it at the library awhile back and thought it was very good (and i'm not even a real big dead fan). it was actually a well done autobiography instead of a dirt dishing. i was pleased to hear that my little town of Saskatoon was able to provide the train with excess amounts of booze on a midnight stop. now i need to watch "festival express" to see the footage.

I finished it this morning; and it was wonderful!
