Through an ultimate deal, I ordered a new GBE 1200 head for my cali shows. www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=1839&sid=422&cid=95 I'll post a review in a couple of weeks when I get back. I didn't want to ship out my $ Alembic F1X, SF2, 3402DTR 2000 rig for a few shows. The gbe is rated at 1000w at 4 ohms anf 1200 at 2 ohms. Any one else use GB gear? Always interested in real world experiences. Danno |

I'm always interested in music companies still run by the name on the front plate. ALEMBIC, Peavey, Martin, etc. I always feel it's generally better that the same name has to look at himself in the mirror every morning . . . Jeff Genzler and his wife are there every day, though they signed with Kaman as their sole distributor. I tried a GBE600/210 set one day at Corner Music and liked what I heard, though the tube side didn't sound a lot different than the SS side. Let us know how it works out. With so many touring acts here in Nashville, that's the real acid test. I know lots of guys who settle for a 'road' sound with indestructible gear rather than take their pet setup and throw it under the bus for the next 6 weeks! J o e y |

I use a GBE 400 with Aguilar 115 and 210 cabinets and love them. it's the SS head but it sounds great. And you can't beat it for the money. |
