How does Alembic handle visits? Can you just show up during business hours or do you need to make arrangements ahead of time?

The reason I ask is that in January I will be in Cupertino and would like to stop by and say hi, and also see the birthplace of my Excel! That is, as long as Alembic accepts the likes of a New Englander roaming around :-)

elzie, the doors are open during normal business hours. And as you can imagine, whomever happens to be there at the time will pretty much drop everything to make you feel welcome (or coffee - thanks, Mary).

But if you want to make sure you will have a chance to spend a little time with anyone in particular (long list of possible names here), then you should just call them in advance and figure out the best date, because their schedules vary quite a bit, and sometimes they do actually book visits/tours, or someone may be out of town, and so forth.

I've been there three or four times now, and I always call or email in advance to confirm a good day and time.

Call Val and set up a date & time in advance. I have visited twice and can honestly say Susan & Co. are truly gracious host and enjoy meeting customers.
advance notice will help Val set some time aside so you can see everything & everyone.

Quite a few years ago, I called in advance, was overwhelmed with their kindness, got to handle some great looking basses, talked with Ron about my F2B, Mica gave me a tour, met Susan. It was an incredibly memorable experience!
