Starting today, I've been getting a slew of ads popping up whenever I attempt to access the site. This is not occurring with any other website only with this one. It doesn't occur when I access the main site only when I attempt to access one of the thread areas. Anyone else having this problem? |

Strange. It's only occurring on the Alembic site. Started when I first tried to get in and a I got pop-up asking me to take part in a survey about a web-hosting service that I was led to believe was the one Alembic used. I declined and that's when the ads started. Currently running a scan of my computer to determine if some adware somehow get in to the system. |

No issues here. Sounds like your browser has been hijacked by a virus or malware. Keith |

It's really incredible how modern malware works. Just sat through an IT Dept. presentation on what links *not* to click. Freakin' amazing... even closing a pop-up unleashes a virus. I was thinking - of all the things in the world to fix with technology... and somehow we've achieved proficiency in... dirty tricks. +1 on el-kabong, but I'll donate a lesser bass to the cause, if you can ever find the paper-hangin' SOB that does this kinda' stuff. |

If your anti-virus program's scan doesn't find it, try Malwarebytes. |

Found the culprit after doing a full scan with bitdefender. It was attached to a invoice that came via email for a instrument cable I bought online from a very large, nationally known "center" that specializes in stringed instruments. |

It's too bad that the malware creeps have discerned our particular definition of "porn". Alembics always get me excited!! |
