I'm sure we all have an axe that has sentimental value, that we just can't turn our backs to. Let's talk about them. Mine is my 1989 Squier Stratocaster which I bought new on my 15'th birthday in 1991. it has seen a number of modifications but I recently brought it as far back into it's original state as possible. Save for the humbucker and the Kahler Bridge of course, the picture shows how it looked before I stripped all the stickers off, replaced the pickguard and put the neck and middle pickups back in. the picture below is an artist interpetation on how it currently looks.

As we can all understand, mine is the Alembic Series I Cocobolo 4-string with custom enhancements (24th fret cutaway, master volume, LEDs), SN 811952. Played it last night at a biker bash in central Illinois and had a ball. John |
