It's Mother's Day. Mine... not a music fan. Not even a little. (seriously, my Mama really don't dance, and my Dad just plays the banjo) But she recognized long ago I was quite passionate about it, and encouraged me in her own passive ways. Now she wonders aloud - ...if you already have one of the best basses in the world, why on Earth would you need two? Well, Mom... because I need the best fretless bass in the world too... =) Happy Mother's Day to all it applies. |

About twenty years ago my Mom had a revelation when talking to one of her friends. Her friend asked: "So what is Paul doing now?" After some reflection on the question (my day job was manufacturing) my Mother answered: "Oh, he's a musician!" :-D She finally understood how passionate I am about playing/ making/ creating music! |

Happy belated Mother's day to all the Mothers in Alembic land including Susan and Mica ! I visited my Mother yesterday with a Spring Bouquet of flowers in my hand and a card. At mothers day I always write on the card ; "Mutter Fruhling " ,in German that spells " Mother Spring " . At 89 years of age she still gets a kick out of that . ( in spelling fruhling there are 2 dots over the u, umlaut). |
