Was wondering if anyone can suggest cool guitar stores in NYC. Ideally a place with a large selection of used, unusual, and/or weird guitars. 30th Street Guitars is the best I've found in the past. Any other shops in a similar vein in the area? Bill, tgo |

Mandolin Bros. 629 Forest Ave. Staten Island NY 10310-2576 I've never been there, but their website is one of my favorite insomniac destinations. Peter |

Peter: It's great to see they are still open. The founder/owner passed away recently and I had read that the family might be closing it down. I've never been there, but have heard about it for years. Maybe this is the trip to schlepp out to S.I., though I suspect the ferry is no longer a nickel (cheap date in High School). lol Bill, tgo |

I purchased a few pieces of used gear from ROGUE MUSIC in NYC over the years. They were Kool to do business with in my experience! http://www.roguemusic.com/ It is too bad that Manny's Music is already gone . I liked doing business with them as well. Wolf |

Yeah, I was sad about Stan passing (we'd exchanged a few e-mails; nice guy). His son & daughter took over & IIRC, had a notice on the site that they weren't going anywhere. I hope the product descriptions keep the same smart-ass panache. Peter |
