Just come back from Yoshi's.
Managed to get front row seats right in the middle!
Band were incredible! Drummer is absolutely awesome and only 20 years old. And the pianist is 19 and incredible!!
Oh, and Stanleys not too bad either!!
Still reeling from an awesome night!
And tomorrow a visit to the Mothership!
It doesn't get any better than this!

Glad you had a good time! I considered going, but this weekend is just too insane - woke up at 3 am to start preparation for a food festival at 5 am...

Thanks.
We got there at 5.30 when the restaurant opened.
Apparantly it is first come first served to reserve a table when you are having a meal.Thats why we got front row seats.
Off to the Mothership today to visit Mica and the Holy Grail of basses!!
I will go back to the UK a very happy man!
Good luck with the festival.

Great show last night! My dad and I had to rush down a spare preamp because the airlines smashed Stan's all up :-(

It was my son's first Stanley Clarke concert, and it certainly won't be his last. Erik commented that, "Wow, he sure does play FAST!" and also that he really liked Beka's piano parts.

Between the shows, we went backstage and Erik got a chance to meet Stan and I did some minor setup work on his basses. All in all, a really fun night! Still planning on going to one of the Sunday shows.

He did for a couple of songs - started out with an EXPLOSION of tone!

The jacket is a hand-me-down from his cousin. Erik likes to look "cool" when we go out :-)

Erik is obviously going down the right path:

Listens to his mom, plays Alembics, and gets to hang with Stanley Clarke, full well knowing he MUST look cool when he's on the town.

Mica, you're doing a hell of a job !!
