recently at a pawn shop i saw a precision style bass with the name alembic on the headstock. below the name was SN61859, which isn't even how alembic serial numbers read. i wasn't able to find anything on the website. anybody out there have any information?

Are you by chance in Texas?

What you saw is probably the work of some ya-ha down here that's foists off bad P-bass copies as Alembic Elans. Mica has an informational post under the "News and Announcements" here on the club.

I'm sure she would appreciate any additional information you could provide her, as she's been trying to track this guy down for years.
