Myself and two guys who were all in a band years ago have got together with a singer to form a rock 'n' roll band with some rockabilly thrown in.
Elvis tunes such as 'Blue Moon of Kentucky', Don't Be Cruel', Little Richard's 'Tutti Fruitti', Buddy Holly's 'Rave On' and 'Baby I Don't Care, The Surfaris 'Wipe Out'(drummers showcase !), The Shadows 'Apache' and 'FBI' are the starters SO we are stuck for a decent name, this is where you fellows come in.
To give a brief we are all from the north east of the UK which may help(or not)
I will check in for possible names regulary!
Over to you boys!!!!

On the bass side I think the MK Signature with LED's may be out of character for such a band so my Alembic powered P bass is going to get dusted off, tuned up, new battery and plugged in!

Dave - the last one would work nicely if they turn away from the audience at the end of their show and drop their pants half way... to create a "half moon"...

Terry, I'm really, really kicking this around but inspiration has not hit yet.

In the meantime, you MUST include 'Walk, Don't Run' and 'Sleepwalk' and 'Apache'.

I just knew it would get ridiculous ! but thanks and there are a few valid ones, Joey, 'Apache' already in there, the ones I mentioned are just the prelims, more to be added to the set once we have rehearsed.

Okay just to let you all know we had a rehearsal last Sunday and within the space of 1.1/2 hours we almost got a a full set together, okay it may only be three chords but Buddy Holly sure knew how to use them to there full accord!!
As far as the names goes I have got more suggestions by looking at all the TV shows that were on in the USA in the 50's so I have included them in the list and given it to the other members of the band, a decision will be made soon.
My daughter has already got a design brief for a banner(she is a graphic designer in Dubai) so when we decide on a name it will be included.
Let's go to the hop !!!

No doubt inspired (even across the pond in Old Blighty) by THIS Cadillac, the impossibly imposing '59:

. . . . although I'm sure on a lot of those beautiful English 2-lane roads, it would take up BOTH lanes.

I used to own two...I miss them a bit, but I don't miss the money I didn't spend on storing them the last 20 years if I still owned them...
