Well, it has been rather quiet ever since leaving "The Worst" last december but I haven't been sitting still. So I hooked up with a couple of guys wanting to start a Power trio with me on vocals and guitar. But at our very first meeting we got a saxophonist sitting in with us so without even having played together yet that power trio became a quartet.

Then after we rehearsed a couple of times it became apparent that playing and singing proved to be a little tough for me so the suggestion came up to add a vocalist so I phoned up one of my oldest friends who'm I had been in my very first band and as soon as he opened his mouth the others went "Dude, you're in!"

We called ourselves "Mianus" (Pronounced: My anus) after a town in connecticutt that was featured in an episode of Jackass. And our set list consists of songs by deep Purple, Morphine, Herman Brood, CCR, Thin Lizzy and John Torogod and the destroyers.

I'd almost forgotten what fun it is to play in a band and get along fine with the fellow band members, I'm really looking forward to go on the road with these guys.

The real town is pronounced "myanis". I remember when the Mianus River Bridge portion of I-95 collapsed over 20 years ago, falling nearly 100 feet into the river below. 3 people were killed. I think it was 1983.

Here's the obligatory picture of the band, from left to right: Ramon - Vocals, Vince - Saxophone, Yours truly - Guitar, Lawrence - Drums and Pascal - Bass

Notice how Pascal, our bassplayer has adopted my Ricky copy as his main bass. It sounded way better than his 1978 Fender Jazzbass
