For those of you Alembicians that care: Start up your credit cards...here's yet another in a seemingly endless line of offers from the Dead's dependents: "Dead Ahead" - the long-awaited (by your's truly, at least, LOL!) DVD version of the legendary '80 Radio City Music Hall shows, documented on "Reckoning" and "Dead Set", one show of which I was fortunate enough to be blessed to have attended same. Remastered in 5.1 with sharp pic quality and added songs and features. Comes with a bonus HDCD audio-only disc of the bonus tunes! "69 Filmore Highlights" (paraphrased here for brevity): the commercial release of the "best Of" Alembic recorded "Live Dead" source material...none of which was included on "Live Dead", so it's all previouly uinreleased stuff! A great T-shirt of the cover art along with a Dick Latvala (deceased, of "Dick's Picks" fame) fave of all time set list on the back was created as well. BTW, the SOLD-OUT limited-to-1000 10-cd set of '69 Filmore shows has resurfaced...a few sets are again available due to order cancellations, so get'em while you can! Cheers, Kevin http://gdstore.com/ |

Kevin - do you remember when the 10-cd Filmore set was scheduled for release and shipping? I pre-ordered some time ago, and can't seem to find release date info. Thanks, Tom |

Nov 15th! I ordered mine in July! http://alembic.com/club/messages/449/20040.html?1123766501 These are a must-have for any serious Dead Head. I hope some of the people that wanted a set get in on the few that have surfaced for the original price. I pre-ordered the RCMH DVD and the Tee-shirt. I forgot to mention the new "Dick's Picks #36" which is a pre-Europe '72 show from, gasp, 1972 from the Spectrum in Philly. This is part of the pre-order and is available alone or in combo with the above items as well. |
