Just a reminder that the Sydney Bass Get Together is this Sunday. When: Sunday, 30 October, 12 noon to 4PM Where: Green Square Community Hall, 3 Joynton Avenue, Zetland (situated on the former South Sydney Hospital site) Why: Its an opportunity for bass players to meet up, check out each others' gear, etc. Cost: Free! Players are invited to bring their instruments - but it is by no means compulsory. You can just turn up and socialise and check out the gear. The get together is being sponsored by Green Square Music, so we'll have our Alembic demo fleet and Acme loudspeakers there. Great opportunity to see and try some awesome instruments. There will also be the first Australian public appearances of: * Thunderfunk TFB 550 * Accugroove Tri112 * Schroeder 1210 At 1PM we will record "The Bass Show" - a bass-oriented panel discussion with audience participation. At 2:30PM Steve Hunter, aussie bass virtuoso, will do a solo performance and field questions. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free! David Burgess |
