Just got Neil's new CD. It's pretty much the same ole' Neil. No surprises here. They're touting it as the sequel to "Harvest". I don't know if I'd go that far, but it sounds like the old '70's "country" Neil that most folks like the best. This was supposed to be his Warren Zevon-esque swan song as he has some kind of fatal medical condition (Brain Tumor?). He hasn't kicked yet, so God Bless Neil! If you're a Neil fan, you'll like this one. No rockabilly, no vocorder (Trans! LOL!), no neo-space-punk, LOL! Just Neil and his acoustic and decent players behind him. His voice never changes.

Ok, that's my $0.02.

Lets see.... how many "sequels" to Harvest so far.....

1) Harvest Moon
2) Silver and Gold
3) Prairie Wind

..... why are there never "sequels" to Everybody Knows this is Nowhere, After the Goldrush, Tonights the Night, etc etc etc.... I guess the nostalgia and players linked to Harvest really help sell Neil albums.... From the man himself: "ITS ALL ONE SONG"

wouldn't this be, like, the FOURTH "sequel" to Harvest? (not that there's anything wrong with that :-)

Edit- two of us posted the same sentiment at the same time! - other touted sequels, IIRC, were Comes a Time, Old Ways (debatable) and Harvest Moon.
