Green Square Music exhibited at AMAC recently. It is Australia's equivalent to NAMM. Here a few pictures.

That's got to be none other than David N. Burgess! Nice display! I missed the AMAC when I was last in Oz (<your> spring '03). I'm assuming that it was held in Sydney?

Cheers,

Kevin

Funny, I work with a fellow named David Burgess. Clearly not the fellow in this pic though.

Well spotted, Kevin.

AMAC is held at on the Gold Coast (Australia's answer to Florida) - which for us is a real pain - 11 hours driving in the van loaded with all our stuff. When I asked the organisers why it wasn't in Sydney or Melbourne, they said it was because the retailers who attend like to take their families (its during school holidays).

That's a genuine Alembic t-shirt - my last one. As far as I can tell they are produced about as frequently as Halley's comet fly pasts.

Now David...
The T-shirts come by more often than that. I've been here since the start of the borad on Alembic's site and I've got one of the old tye-dye jobs and a black with full color logo from the early run, plus three from the second run (a gray, a blue, and a green like yours) and a sweatshirt from cafe press. It's one of those little extras that come around with the blue moon :-)

and nope ... none of mine are for sale, I wear 'em!!

Yep, I've got one of those too. Missed the tie-dye (okay by me), but have one just like dnburgess above, only black.

This came as sort of a consolation prize, when my custom was extending beyond the first year. Don't think I've ever seen a T-shirt with such high quality color and artwork. It's really stunning.

Unfortunately, it's a little too big, and black isn't quite my thing... so I promptly ordered one in large/blue, but they were out of stock. Still, I liked it so much that I kept in draped over the railing in my dining room for many months - sort of as art - until my housekeeper finally got fed up with me.

Shortly after that, the Cafe Express(?) relationship sprung up, and those don't seem to be quite the same.

I'm still hoping these will come around again, but not holding my breath. We'll see.

Ah, the Gold Coast! I love Surfer's Paradise..the Aussie Miami. I've been there a few times, including for the Indy Car (nee Champ Car) Week. That is quite a haul from Sydney. I usually fly up from Melbourne and rent a Harley from Morgan and Wacker's at either or both the Gold Coast and Brisbane locations. Been as far a Maloolabah (Sunshine Coast) after stopping in Beers to see Crikey's (Steve Irwin's, LOL!) Australia Zoo, and I've been down to the bohemian hippie haunt of Paul Hogan (Byram Bay) on the bikes, using Surfer's as a base.

I know the Tee's come and go, but what happened to the (Yahoo?) store link on the Alembic Store that has the Alembic logo stuff...sweatshirts, COM coffee mugs, etc?
