I looked at doing one, but besides the bolt-on neck (not necessarily a bad thing), it's a flat top a la Flax's Tribute-style bass instead of a carved top. I imagine they could do a carved top, as they already do it with their LP, PRS, Wolfgang and Jackson Soloist-style bodies, but the additional upcharge for a "custom body" is unknown. I'm still thinking about doing a Warmoth, actually two, but they'll probably be a high-end Strat and a high-end Tele first. If they turn out alright, it may spawn more adventurous body types, like the PRS rip-off. |

No disrespect intended, nor did I mean to infer that the Warmoth is comparable to your new Alembic. I only meant to point-out that the Warmoth body was flat-topped and not carved. |
