I guess it was just those days, but I'll never understand the beating they took (but then, so did Zep) at the hands of the rock press . . . . these days, three great singers fronting a hot band singing songs from the best writers, is not a bad idea. Wasn't then either. Floyd Sneed was a favorite drummer, and Greenspoon's Hammond work was first-rate.

The horrible irony . . . . Chuck Negron's ferocious heroin addiction, which derailed them at the height of their career, should have killed him years ago, but he finally seems to have sustained sobriety. CW was an outdoorsman of the first order, and he goes first.

Cory was the frontman for the Enemys, a Hollywood band that was the house band at the Whisky back in the day. Those of us of a certain age will remember back when if your band couldn't do stuff like this:
