Duncan, did you manage to get that B-Quad? I e-mailed you but my e-mail was returned. I've e-mailed you again just in case.

I recently purchased a Peavey B-Quad 4 bass in the UK (thanks a million Shaun!). It was a great deal. The bass was delivered to my home last week. It did need some good cleaning, dusting and polishing and some new strings. Now the bass looks, feels and plays incredible and is in excellent overall shape.

For those who don't know the bass, here are the specs:

flame maple body with transparant maroon/purple finish and polyester/urethane finish

compact double cutaway body w extended upper horn for perfect balance

34" scale, 24 frets
Modulus Graphite neck w phenolic fingerboard
Graphlon composite topnut
gold hardware
18 volts electronics
active high/low pass shelving circuitry
2 VFL humbucking pickups (made by Bartolini)
Wilkinson bridge w Fishman Piezo pickups
Mono/stereo switch with double output jack

Controls (front and back):
master volume
piezo volume
piezo tone
tone network (stack knob)
magnetic pickup volume (stack knob)
mono/stereo switch
piezo volume level controls
piezo panning controls

Made in the USA.

This is truly a GREAT bass to own besides my Alembic!

Here are some first pics of the bass:

Hi Duncan! 've been trying to e-mail you and have had my e-mails returned. Just tried again as I missed your posts completely! Wow! That looks fantastic...wish I could've got it! (Ironically it now looks like I could've but it was obviously meant to be yours...). Hope you enjoy it as much as I think you will and as much as I would've, and glad you managed to get a great bass at such a great price. Let me know how you get on with it! And also if you ever decide to let it go :-)...
