Flax-Man: Are you sure it's Guitar Player Magazine, and not some other guitar rag? I went on GP's website, and couldn't find hide nor hair of JG. |

Kevin; I don't know about Guitar Player, but many magazines will wait until some time after the paper issue has shipped before updating the web site for the new issue. |

I'll keep that in mind. I used to be a religious GP reader, subscriber in fact, from the late '70's/early '80's. I got frustrated with the magazine after several format changes in the '90's and gave-up on it all together. It used to be a great cover-to-cover read. Now, it and other's like it are hard to get thru, LOL! I will say that GP opened my eyes and ears to a whole bunch of styles and players I would not have otherwise been exposed to, in order to give credit where credit is due. |

Wow - some really nice stuff on Jerry - some of which I've read before. And the great bonus of a master class piece with Steve Kimock. I always kind of wondered why Steve's intonation sounded so good. Tom |

Thanks, Brian. They still haven't updated the GP website. I'm gonna stop by a Barnes and Noble today while I'm putting along on the ole' scoot today enjoying the balmy 50-60 degree Joisey November weather. I'll grab a $5 cup 'o joe from Starbucks whilst perusing the periodicals with the hoi polloi, LOL! |

I just got mine at Barnes & Noble. I think there must have been some shading or bad developing done of the picture of Tiger at the top of the cover. It looks as if the top is purpleheart. Tiger's top is cocobolo, but GP makes it looks almost purpleish red! Bill, tgo |

It's gotta be the lighting. The headstock doesn't even look black in that picture although it's jet black ebony. Speaking of the headstock, does anybody know what happened to it that caused this mark here? I've heard speculations that a chunk was missing, but I assumed it was something less. Actually upon relooking at it, its definitely not a chunk of ebony missing because where it is, you'd be able to see the purpleheart in the neck lams through that hole. Hmmm, wonder what happened. |

Got to read the article at the weekend ( in the shop though couldn't bring myself to pay £5.50 uk for a guitar magazine). They're still perpetuating the myth that Irwin built Wolf all by himself ;-( Graeme |
