Here is my tribute to Michael Jackson and the great Louis Johnson. The bass is going right trough a Fast Track to the Pro Tools. Effects are Overdrive, Envelope Filter and a Phaser, all into an amp simulation and some reverb "inbox". Hope you enjoy...

That was awesome Mario! Great tone! It's so refreshing to see a bass solo that is not all slap these days!

Really nice!

I really like that it is a solo, but you totally maintained the groove.

Innovative idea to feature the bass as both a melodic and harmonic instrument.

Slawie, that took lots of time, I've sliced just the parts where MJ wasn't singing and reordered them. Someties I had to get a single hit just because he antecipated phrases, combining several different bits to make each part.

Hard but that groove is so hot that it wouldn't work so nice if was a MIDI part.
