Here's a shot of my Tiger Replica that I sold last year. It clocked in around 13 lbs and was just too heavy. It was made by Leo at Scarlet Fire Guitars. I sold it to a guy who has been letting Stu Allen play it. Here's a photo from last night sent to me by the new owner. It's obviously in pretty good company. Better than hanging on the wall in my den!

I saw Stu play that guitar in one of the videos from Terrapin Crossroads last year. And it's been on stage some nights when he didn't play it. To my ears, it sounded better than the guitar Stu usually plays.

Dave,

The guitar was a tone monster. But, then, what else would you expect from thirteen pounds of hippie sandwich and three Simarzio Super II's? I loved the instrument but it was heavy and I had rediscovered the joy of my Alembics. It only made sense to set it free so it could be played like this. I'm not sure if Stu owns it now. I do know that he's been the caretaker since shortly after I sold it. If anyone is ever looking for a Tiger replica, I can't say enough good things about Leo at Scarlet Fire. When Susan found out I was having it built, she asked why I was cheating on her.

As for the guitar Stu usually plays, it's made by Matt Moriarty and is his custom take on Wolf.
