A plaque at her bronze statue in Manhattan calls her a "Delegate to the United Nations" & "The First Lady of the World". Who is Eleanor Roosevelt? is the answer (or question in this case). The statue is the work of Penelope Jencks, Edwin's mother. http://www.penelopejencks.com/ http://www.gobronze.org/artists/jencks/eleanor.html For us map/geography geeks, the statue's location is at the extreme southeastern corner of Riverside Park which is along the western edge of Manhattan.
