Kevin; there's a new version of 'Chain playing on the Lesh site! The solo at the end is beautiful! Is that Campbell? |

Looking at the New Year's lineup, I'm looking forward to hearing the lineup with Joan Osborne! Is anyone here going to see those shows? |

Dave - thanks for the link. I'm so bummed that I'm stuck here in the desert and can't make it to see Phil and Sco. =( Hopefully there will be nice recordings from these shows. Tom |

Joan was good with the Dead in '03, and the PLAF show on 10/30/05 at the Hard Rock in Vegas had Joan, which sounded good as well. Don't know about the UC...definitely sounds like Sless, but the other player? Larry has that Nashville meets Chicago Telecaster sound...I don't think it's him, personally. Ck out the NJPAC shows to see what I mean. Sless sounds like Jerry, even more than Herring did. Could even be Warren. |

It's probably Herring, although with the PLAF raison d'etre being the revolving door policy, it could be anybody. I still doubt it's Larry Campbell, though. |

Regrardless of the players, it's definitely worth travelling to see Phil. This is/was as close as we got to a Dead 40th Tour, so enjoy it while it lasts. FWIW, All you NE Corridor Dead Heads: They're supposedly coming back to the NYC and Philly areas in '06 as they were unable to book in either city, according to Phil's website. |

I'm listening to it again. I really like this guitar. I don't think it's Herring or Haynes. |

bt.etree.org has a few torrents from 12-4 and one from 12-3. I've downloaded and listened to a bit of each of these shows, and they seem to be pretty good. I'm sure they will be showing up on the archive soon. I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of audience tapes because I just can't hear the separation of instruments very well. The recordings I downloaded from these shows are just okay - it's difficult to distinguish between the different guitars and even the keyboards at times. It would be a treat if Phil releases a DSBD of either of these shows. Tom |

Thanks Tom! I'm thinking that since Phil recently released the NJ show, he probably won't release one of these. So I'm planning to download one from the archive site. The guitar player in my band is a Scofield fan, so I figured it would be a treat for him. |
