All,
My name is Alicia wife Steve90029. Some of you might have seen our 1976 Seies 1 for sale. It is my deep regret to announce that Steven Died suddenly on 5/5/2006 at Hollywood Prespeterian Hospital. He was so proud to be a member of this club and even though we were going to part with the Bass his hopes were to get another. Sincerly

My Dear Alicia:

God Bless You in this time of your loss, and may God Rest Steven in hs new home, gone home to God.

You must realize that God, in his wisdom and in his time, called Steven back to his side. And that wisdom and time is His alone, and not often is that always understandable to us in this time and place. But you must also remember that His wisdom also extends to those of us still here in this world, and we are remaining here for now because that wisdom would have it that way. So remember that this is not as one-sided as it seems: As He knew to take him, he also knows to leave us here for now for His reasons, and as He is always around and with us, we must take our strength and live by faith in that knowledge.

I know it must be the most dreadful shock, and I will pray for you and your family.

Lord Help Us All,

I see in his profile that he listed his age as "timeless". Indeed, one way or another, he will be with us always, Alicia.

Thank you all for your heartfelt words. I cannot even process what is happing. Tonight some our friends & I listend to tracks of steve & our old Series 1. As I said before being a part of this club meant so much to Steve. Owning an Alembic is an honour, to be able to have the best bass made. The Bass at this point in time will stay with me until I am ok enough to deal with selling it. Right now I am not equipped to deal with it although Steve did want to sell it as it was not being played enogh and it was'nt fair to let it sit Our pooch is sick, but unfortunatly I have the money to handle that for the time being. Val if you read this I will call you next week and maybe we can put our heads togetherto get " old Bessie the home she deserves"
Thank you all so much,
Alicia

Alicia,
Please accept my condolences,I'm very sorry for your loss.My Dad passed away in '94 and at his funeral a dear friend said something which, although it took time to appreciate, proved to be right - "You might never get over losing someone so close, but you WILL learn to live with it".Over time it proved to be true.In two days time it will be 6 months since my Mum passed away and I struggle to keep sight of my friend's words,it still feels like it only just happened.

We lose the people we love and it feels like the ground we walk on has given way.Sometimes the strength and support of family and close friends is the only strength we can call on.

This club is one of people from all round the globe, friends who may never meet, brought together by a common interest. Please know that those friends have you both in our thoughts and prayers.God bless you both.
Simon.

Alicia:

I really can't add anything more than what has been said by the other folks in this forum except to say that you should try to keep your chin up and that you have our thoughts and best wishes.

Alicia,

As those above have stated, I can't really add anything to what has already been said. My condolences. Steve played an Alembic, so he had happiness in music. You care enough about him to revisit this forum and share this news with us, so it appears he also had happiness in the people around him. Be proud and grateful he put you into his life, celebrate what you shared and take good care of his memory and your self.
