A kind of different request here. Fairly soon my guitarist, my son on keyboards and I are planning to do a 3-song segment in a local talent show. This small town seems to be pretty lean on good drummers, though. It seems that our best option may be to play along with a canned drum track (not my favorite way to do it, but...). We plan to play Cream's "White Room" and "Crossroad" and Bowling For Soup's "1985". Does anyone have a recording of any of these songs that could have the drum track separated out? A drum machine track that comes close would work too. We would appreciate any help you could offer. Rich |

Do you have the ability to play Midi Files from a sequencer/ or program that can play midi tracks ? if you do or know someone who does, you could find standard midi file versions of those songs on the web I have found some really good versions of songs ( crappy ones too....lol) that people have done, there are also companies that sell midi file versions of these songs. depending on what programs you have, you can mute the other tracks and just have the drums play, or if you know someone that has the ability/ sequencing program they can do it for you and email you the edited tracks. ( I have a great version of Heart of the Sunrise by Yes ) Here is a link to some Midi File sites: http://www.harmony-central.com/MIDI/files.html you might be able to find what you need there. B. |

Rich; for what it's worth, if I were in the audience I would rather see you play without a drum track. For me, as a listener, the performance would be much more enjoyable. But that's just my personal preference. |
