Based on all the good recommendations I've read on this site, I just picked up a new QSC 3402 power amp for use with my new F-2B and SF-2. Not only are they on sale at Garbage, er, um, Guitar Center, but QSC is offering DOUBLE the standard factory warrantee! That is to say, the factory warrantee was 3yrs, now it's 6yrs, if you register online at QSC's site. Here's the details: http://www.qscaudio.com/warranty/English.htm |

Yep ....I am dreaming of one of those, though a 3002 will do for my needs. Please Kevin ...tell me about your whereabouts with the QSC PLX ...I am very interested. To stay at this side of the globe I would also give this one a chance http://www.mc2-audio.co.uk/e15/ Alas the QSC PLX is hard to find second hand ...the MC2 even more harder! But ...we will continue our quest! (...but for money first!!!! HA!) Paul TBO |

I got the 3002 a few month ago to drive my Bag End ELF subs and PA mains. I also got the free extended warranty. Works great and I've been very happy with it. Plenty of power for the size places I play and not to bad in the weight department. My only complaint is I had to order and pay for the rear rack ears separately. Keith |

I ended up getting a really good deal on a QSC PLX 2402 from the US when the dollar was about 1.94 to the Pound! Had it shipped over from the US and ended up paying about £500 for the thing, all in. It is a brilliant amp, and it is relatively light. I definitely don't see myself selling this amp second hand for an awful long time! |

Hi Michael! How's Scotland these days??? I have an automatic "tracker" on QSC PLX in my E-bay space. In Europe they don't pop up frequently in second hand. They do in the US but then they are not available for EU. There would be a Power problem anyway I guess: US (and Scotland?????) are on 110 and we are on 230 volts. I don't think those QSC's have a turnable adapter build in. Paul the bad one |

Paul: This place drives me crazy! Yesterday we had snow, and today it will be 11 degrees! This place is messing with my mind! Other than that it is great. Still planning to meet you in May! We are on 220V here in Scotland as well. When I bought my QSC I had to ensure that it did have an EU power supply in it. This took an extra 2-3 days when I ordered it. The fellas at Bass Central were very good and very helpful with the whole thing. From what they were saying, some of the amps are auto-switching and some are not. If you like, when I get a chance to check mine out, I will let you know exactly what it says on the back of the amp so that you can check some of the ones out on ebay US if you like. Jacko bought his here in the UK and I think he paid about £650 of so for his, I'll ask him to check his out for you as well, if you like. |

From what I can tell on the QSC website you have to order the amp for 220V service. If it is not 220V then QSC requires you to send the amp to the factory for conversion. They do not send parts for you to do the conversion locally. The cost to convert from 120V to 220V does not appear to be very expensive but shipping and import duties might be a problem for you folks in Europe. Keith |

Paul. I'll check mine out tonight to see what it says about voltage switching. FWIW, i thought about the 3002 but couldn't see a need to go bigger than the 2402 (same as mikes). With a decent preamp it's louder than anything I've ever used before. You could run two 2ohm stacks at 1100 watts each if you wanted to!! - and good luck with the interview. Mike - do you need a roadie in may? Graeme |

I've had very good experiences with my 2402. It's nice that it has plenty of power to drive 2 ohms in stereo. |

FWIW, the PLX-3402 is currently $1130 at GC...the 3002 is $999...for $130 more I went with the bigger amp. You can never have too much power! LOL! |

Also FWIW, with a bit of shopping around, I was able to get a brand new PLX 3402 shipped to my door for just under $900. Don't recall the vendor, but there were others with prices under $1k as well. Great amp (and relatively lightweight), I've never had any issues with it at all. |

I paid a lot less for my 3002. A quick Google search shows a place at 870.99 + $5.00 shipping in the US. I think $999.00 is the MAP. Keith |

Adam: If you can find that vendor, lemme know ASAP: I can make GC match that price within 30 days! Keith: Everyday "guaranteed low price" (LOL!) at GC is 3402 @ $1199 and 3002 @ $999. Cheers, Kevin |

Kevin, Sound pro on the net 1-800-203-5611, will discount the 3002 for $793.00, and the 3402 for $928.00, plus shipping. FWIW. |

My E-bay searchrobot just showed me an offer on a QSC PLX 3002 in a Belgian Internetstore that gave the "fantastic price" of ...$1500 transport NOT included. ***sigh*** Oh well ...I have to wait anyway! Oh BTW: the job interview went very well. Tough I REALLY dunno if that job would suit me. Anyway ...I am in the third round already and there are 5 rounds to go! Gogethem Paul ARF ARF Paul TBO |

It figures, LOL! I finally bought one and they change it. Ahhh, that's OK. While the new one's look better, I've got more clean power than I know what to do with and I had a $200 gift card, so I don't feel too bad. Combined with the F-2B, SF-2 and Series Electronics (not to mention my Eden XST cabs), the sound is certainly hi-fi enough for my discriminating taste, LOL! I'm dying to hear what this rig will do as a guitar amp, LOL! |
