DINO BROTHER PAUL THE FAKE ONE (the artist formerly known as Dino) My long thought lost twin brother of Greece ... Where have you been?? You're alive! THAT'S GREAT! Yep ...I know what you mean by that "masters" thing. I have no masters degree either though I teach marketing and creative processes to Image language in Highschool. Students elected me "best teacher" for three years in a row but ...I cannot have an official job, I cannot be a member of the staff, I Cannot be paid as a teacher because ...I don't have the appropriate official degree. So ...I am a "contractor" ...it is now my only income and for that I am happy with it but there were times ...oh well ...you know! Paul the bad one (Message edited by palembic on January 13, 2006) |

UIUC is a nice place. The campus is of a manageable size and Champaign is a true college town. The cost of living is incredibly low. Drive for 10 minutes in any direction and you are in true rural America. Chicago is a couple hours away, and you can take Amtrak to get there. I used to listen to King Crimson rehearse in the back room of C.V. Lloyd's Music downtown. Adrian Belew lived there for several years in the '80's. It's a quiet enough place that some awesome musicians visit to wind-down and be anonymous for awhile. The WWW was invented there. In case you can't tell, I really like Champaign and UIUC, and hope some of you guys at least check it out... Then I can drop in on you once in a while and admire your Alembic(s)... John (who has his Master's but isn't worthy) |

My Brother Paul et all, I've been doing very well. I've been realy busy doing a ton of traveling around the US and hopefully getting overseas sometime soon. Maybe for the music show in Frankfurt. Again, I apologize for my lack of attention on the board. It's usually late at night by the time I get to my hotel room. I will try harder to keep in touch. Right now I'm in LA for the NAMM show. If anyone is attending, I'll be at the Ampeg booth all week so please come by and say hello. It'd be nice to see a friendly Alembic face. Peace to all and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
