Wow! That was really nice! I couldn't do that with two hands. Great technique; he gets a nice tone out of his fingers. The drums were a bit too high in the mix for my taste <g>.

Wow!!! THAT was indescribably mind-boggling! Thanks for sharing it! How cool... that someone with that obvious misfortune... can be so awesome.

Yeah, "inspiring" is a great title for this thread...!

Nice ... the guy has great stamina and chops. TAP bass using a traditional instrument ... outstanding! Talk about getting past a problem ... god bless him!

I don't have a clue as to what's so inspiring. When I click on the link all I get is a page full of gibberish, and net even inspiring gibberish! Anybody got any ideas why my computer apparently doesn't like this link?

Bill, it appears from the link to be a WMV file. My guess is that you don't have a codec or some other software requirement to play the file.

WMV files are apparently Microsoft files. So if you don't have MediaPlayer, that might be the problem.

A quick search suggests that there are other programs besides MediaPlayer that can play these files. Check the media software on your computer to see if one of them can play it but does not have it checked off on the file types options. If you don't have anything, you may be able to find a free download.

I was able to open it on my office computer. Amazing! The human spirit is an incredible thing.

Did anyone see the story about the high school kid in upstate New York? This kid is a high functioning autistic student who, throughout high school, was the basketball team's manager. He got the water, towels, helped keep track of time outs, stuff like that. At the last game of the season, "Senior Night", word gets out that the coach might let the kid play if the team gets far ahead or behind. Near the end of the game, with about 4 minutes left, the kid's team is ahead by 20 points and the coach puts him in the game. He takes his first shot ... and misses badly. He then proceeds to hit six 3 pointer's (from far away) in the next 3 minutes (NBA players can't do this) and winds up the game's high scorer! The crowd goes bananas! Don't tell anyone, but I actually dropped a tear or two watching this last night.
