Just letting you guys know. There are some cd's, and shirts which are going up later. There are also some wood blanks some of you luthiers might want to take a look at. There's also a bunch of bass accessories and a wireless system. Have a look: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZamonsternamedbillQQhtZ-1QQfrppZ50QQfsopZ1QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0?

I just checked out the sweet wood on ebay. I'm a beginner luthier, and am curious if you are as well and gave up or what? Only if its not personal, I'm just curious and maybe would like to bounce some questions off of you. Carl Thompson is cool. I would like to try one of his basses.

Well, I made a bass body about a year ago, and was disappointed with the neck, so I ordered another blank and fretboard, which is whats on there. I just got discouraged and gave up, I suppose. The other wood is stuff for a new bass that I'd bought prior to the second neck, and never got around to making another body. Hope this helps.

Hope I'm not prying, but I find luthery stuff really interesting. I am on my first guitar and have the body all pretty much done. I made a neck(maple/mahogany/maple), and kinda messed it up too. But its my first one, and I thought I would have the most trouble putting the radius on the neck with spokeshaves and sandpaper, but that turned out the best. I just went ahead and purchased a neck. But, now I'm hung up on how to make the proper cuts into the neck to join it to the body. I'm not as experienced with wood as I would like to be, so I'll probably buy a milling machine for that job. I decided either to buy a prs or make my own. And for all the tools I have purchased(band saw, planer, drill press, router, table saw, spindle sander, jointer, jig saw, scroll saw, and many hand tools) and will purchase, I could probably have my own private stock instrument. But that prs would not mean as much to my future grandchildren or my son, thats what I tell myself anyway, and certainly won't mean as much to me. I too have kinda gotten discouraged, or in a rut, for fear that if I make a wrong cut I could really mess something up. And man, does it take time to do ANYTHING on woodworking when it comes to something like a guitar. Maybe I should have started out with a paper weight first!

If you know of any threads about luthery on here, I liked to know.
