I just purchased this sound/recording card for my PC. I was wondering if anyone else here has any experience with them. I recorded this bass and drum track only (click the link below)with it just getiing familiar with the 1820. But I could use a little help. http://home.comcast.net/~olieoliver/FUNK.wma |

Thanks Dave. Yea I plugged my 05 MK straight in to the 1/4 in on the dock that comes with the 1820. I was able to do all the adjustments with the mixer software that came with it. It come with a its own mixer but also has Cubase by steinberg bundled with it. I used the Cubase. The drums are my Yamaha DTXpress electornics plugged straight into the same 1/4 input. I have an 1820; am willing but doubt I will be much help. I only use mine in the other direction- as the D/A for a bunch of computer based synths. I do my recording on a Roland VS-2480. Having said that, I will help if I can. What's up? Cary |

Hi Cary. I've been playing with the 1820 a little and hve figured out some of my questions. Like the mixer in the Patchmix software is just that, a mixer and needs another source (program) for recording. My 1820 came with Cubase so I've used it and have made a couple of recordings. The link above is the first just bass and drums and done in a hurry but it came out OK. I did have some trouble with the mixdown but worked my way though it. If I get stumped again I may drop you an email if that is OK. Thanks, Olie |

Olie, Absolutely. I check this forum sporatically, so feel free to email directly if I don't reply in a decent amount of time. BTW, good choice. I love the 1820, it's a killer box. swallowtheredpill@hotmail.com Cary |
