Quickly, Spliffy, and don't look back...

Sorry about the link. One of the kids found this over the weekend. He thought the cartoon version was hysterical without knowing the history behind it. He's a sci-fi fan and his parents were seriously into Star Trek (heck, his middle name is Tiberius if that gives you a clue), so he was totally blown away after seeing the original.

As far as I could determine, the only possible reason is that he smokes a cigarette throughout the performance.

If you follow bsee's devilducky link and scroll down a bit, you can find the original Shatner version there as well, no registration required. Personally, I didn't find either of them worth the time (which of course implies that I did watch both...).

After about an hour after watching BOTH videos, it finally sunk in how funny that really was! Scary but funny.
