Thought we could start a thread about Alembician gatherings and musical musings.

Dino and I went out to the local blues jam with our Alembics. Dino brought his Elan 5 and his Orion fretless 5. I brought my Distillate 5. Lots of exotic wood in that club.

I thrashed around for a few tunes and had a great time. Then Dino got up. Man! There was no way that kid on the drums was going to move the tempo. Talk about taking over. It was almost as much fun as actually playing that Elan. Big bottom.

It was also interesting that he didn't follow his own mantra: he went above the 5th fret lots of times. But ... he wasn't getting paid ;-)

Dino, Tons of fun. We'll have to do it again and drag Paul out with his Alembic. And anyone passing thru the Boston area!

Mark

HA!!!

Mark, I had a great time too. Man, you and your Distillate sound great!!! Just turn it up!!!! Thank you for the kind words! I know I broke my mantra but like you said, there was no money involved although I got the next tab!!! Thank you!!!!
We'll have to drag both Paul's out. Paul L said he was going to try to visit the U.S. and Paul E., yes even if you do have to do the unspeakable, we'll have an Alembic for you to play!!
I just got home from a gig and it's late, and yes, I stayed below the 2nd position (it was an upright gig) LOL

Peace - Dino

Im still trying ... I'm still trying!
I think I still can have the milage my friend flew together last year. He changed job so there is 38000 miles he can not take as "frequent flyer". Alas, it's milage with an expensive air-company. I'm afraid I will not get to Boston yet.
Anyway ...I'll check and let you know!

Paul ( the other one)

Im not shure I will able to bring Bonnie. Brother Dino will lend me Warwick??? LOL

If you do get the mileage, just let me know when you are landing. I'll pick you up at Logan airport. You can even stay at my house, the neighbors won't get any rest then :-)

Hey Paul,

The offer stands here as well as far as a place to stay. AND you can play any of my basses, Alembics or Warwicks, which ever you would like. Boy that would be great if we could all get together!!!
