DE QUEEN, Ark. (AP) - The guitar-shaped bulge in Morgan Conatser's clothing tipped off a music store owner that there might be a crime in progress. Clifton Lovell, owner of Guitars and Cadillacs on U.S. Highway 71 in De Queen, was talking with a customer last week when he saw Conatser, 29, walking out of the store. "I saw him walking out to his pickup truck and the bulges in his leather jacket. I said, 'Hey what have you got there,'" Clifton Lovell said. He said Conatser, 29, replied, "Nothing." Lovell pointed toward the unnatural shapes in Conatser's jacket and pants and said, "You've got something." Conatser then removed a solid body electric guitar from his pants leg and from underneath his jacket. "The neck of the guitar was almost down to his knee and the back of the guitar was almost up to his neck. It wasn't hard to spot. There was no way he could sit down or get into the pickup," Lovell said. Full story: http://www.modbee.com/24hour/weird/story/3432867p-12595302c.html |

This proves that you don't have to be smart to be a crook. |

Maybe not, but I think you'd have to be little smart to be a successful one... |

I don’t think this guy qualifies as successful. |

I remember a few folks from my younger years that considered anything that avoided jail as a success. Read the article and have to say this guy might consider it a success since it appears all he has to do is pay a fine. Still, I wonder just which branch of the evolutionary tree he fell from. Keith |

I've been to DeQueen, and this story isn't surprising. The meth heads over there get really desperate around the holidays. WD |

See, this guy was born just a little too late. If he'd ever seen a few episodes of M.A.S.H. he'd have known how to do it. Even Radar knew you could only steal a jeep one part at a time! |

The really interesting part of this story is that there is a town called De Queen. |

I've been to De Queen several times Dave. Great motorcycle riding all around there. |
