Pickup loudness on Elan

Author Message studiorecluse Junior Username: studiorecluse Post Number: 39 Registered: 11-2005 Posted on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 9:04 am:    I just bought an Elan and noticed that the P-style neck pickup is much quieter than the J-style bridge pickup when the balance is set to center. 1) Is this normal? 2) Can this be adjusted electronically other than the balance knob? 3) I noticed two pots on the circuit board inside, are they related to this? What do they do? You already found the solution: the two trimpots on the circuit board are indeed the individual pickup gain pots that allow you to compensate for these differences.
