Don't know if anyones had a chance to see this show but I highly recommend it. It just got home from the Dallas (Nokia Theater) show and was very pleased. Dweezil sure has got his dad's knack for finding good musicians. Steve Vai and Terry Bozio where both very good but it was Dweezil's band that I was most impressed with. Very loud but also very good. Bravo Dweezil, bravo! |

Hey, Olie, I don't know about you, but it took the entire drive home for my head to clear. Strickly speaking, the band was outrageous, extremely tight, lots of fun and not a wasted moment. Dweezil did his homework, too. Opened with "Andy" and never looked back. Catch them if you can. |

The guitar player in my band went to the Atlanta show. He thought it was amazing. He's a big Zappa fan. |

The show in Dallas was awesome. I'm not really a huge Zappa fan but I always appreciated the musicianship his music contained. Dweezil's show was no exception either. I was especially impressed with a Scheila Gonzalez, she played keys, sax and provided vocals, all 3 at the same times it seemed like too. |

Set list for the Dallas show lifted from another discussion board, not in order performed. Not being a Zappa-head I can't vouch for accuracy, I leave that to the more Zappa infected/affected/effected members. The "Bozio" era material was played back to back. Black Page was great. Andy (opener) Inca Roads Sofa #1 (closer) Florentine Pogen Don't Eat the Yellow Snow (the whole epic, but without "Nanook Rubs It") Black Page #1 Black Page #2 Cheepnis Pygmy Twylyte Tell Me You Love Me Call Any Vegetable (different arrangement) Zomby Woof I'm the Slime I'm So Cute Tryin' to Grow a Chin Punky's Whips Oh No / Orange County Lumber Truck / Harry, You're a Beast Trouble Every Day The Idiot Bastard Son Montana Peaches en Regalia Village of the Sun Black Napkins Echidna's Arf (Of You) Not many dates left and scattered geographicaly. Dweezil mentioned more than once that he'd like to do this "next year". |

I caught the show when they came to DC to the Warner Theater. Its a really top notch show. Everyone involved is really just an excellent musician and the versions of all the songs were great. Steve Vai was in excellent form. He really blew the lid off the place a couple of times. I think he is at his best playing Zappa. Dweezil has really taken his playing to that next level. His solos and riffs were all great. That set list looks pretty close to what I saw except they tossed in Torture never stops when I caught them. This is a great show, definetly worth seeing. |

I missed this in Chicago, had my child that weekend. My buddy gave it a rave review, and said they worked it so Frank himself got to play a solo during the show with the live band backing him up! I would have killed for that. I still have the ticket, any takers? hahaha |
