I agree- This year the Steelers sucked, the Panthers really sucked, so I'm jumping on the Saints bandwagon. Hope there's room! |

What a great AFC game after the NFC version wasn't particularly competitive after the half. I can see the papers tomorrow... NEWS FLASH - Tom Brady IS human! There were several calls in this game that could have changed the outcome, but I think the better team won in the end. The Patriots played above their talent level through the playoffs this year and it finally caught up to them. I think the reverse matchups would be better Super Bowls to watch. Colts-Saints or Patriots-Bears both sound like recipes for great games. I don't like the sound of Colts-Bears for a great matchup to watch. It could be a good game, but it could also be a blowout either way. I guess we'll see in two weeks. |

I'll take the Bears! It's about their time. The NFC seems to slam a little harder this year IMHO. I wonder if the half-time show will have any Alembics! That will make it worth watching. Even an advertisement...oohhh get the frogs and horses together in the barn..a little Bud and some volume and a series 1..there ya go.. NLP (Message edited by inthelows on January 21, 2007) |

I think the last time the Colts were in the SB they beat the Cowboys. 1970 or 71 I believe. |

Football, Adriaan, the American version that is. They're talking about the playoff games to see who makes it into the Super Bowl. It's almost a religious sect in the US. |

Sam, I know just about enough now not to add "Go Yankees!" on this thread - wrong sports, right? |

Believe me JP, I know. Living in an NFL city there is such emphasis on supporting the local team one would think that it's a city ordinance. |

GO BEARS! That said, yes, some people do seem a tad overly enthusiatic about it. But to find the truly religious dedication, go to any small town in TX or OH on an autumn Friday night. It's scary! (And yes, I played HS football in a small town in OH) Peter |

I'm just thankful that the Raiders didn't have a chance at the bowl. |

The Raiders?!! They wouldn't have had a shot at the BCS this year. Oh, for the days of Stabler, Branch, and Biletnikoff... |

The Rader fans were much better then too. It's not that I hate the Raiders. I hate what the fans do in Play Off season when they win. It's even worse when the lose. I expect that the next time the Raiders make it to the bowl, The entire city of Oakland will erupt in gunfire and violence and it will completely implode on itself. |

I don't hate the Raiders. I just hate what their fans do when they lose or win. As an orginization, they are pretty cool. They support a lot of non-profits for kids. A few of which I have mixed sound for. I don't even keep up with football anymore since the Oilers left Houston. I do like it when Denver wins though. |
