Yes that is correct. On march 8th I will be venturing into Prague for a week. Has anyone in the club been there (or live there)? Is there anything that I absolutely positively have to see?! I'll be staying with a friend and if there are any club members I would love to meet up! |

The city is supposedly full of that old world atmosphere - well, of course this IS the old world. Walk around, look around, enjoy. |

Probably to do with the low prices - which made it a popular student's holiday destination already before the iron curtain was raised. |

Well I'm home (been home for like 3 weeks actually, but finally posted pictures). I had an amazing life changing time. I want to live in Europe very badly. Anyway here are the links to the albums. http://umichigan.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2189582&id=2251632 http://umichigan.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2189586&id=2251632 http://umichigan.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2189587&id=2251632 Enjoy! |

I went there last year as part of the European tour I was doing with Apache Indian. We played at a club called Abahon which was in a little backstreet. Great gig and the crowd loved the music. Unfortunately didn't get to see much of the city as we had a busy schedule. It is very picturesque and there is a famous clock in the main town square which has been there for a few hundred years i suppose. People stand round waiting for it to chime... it was disappointing lol. Jazzyvee |

haha I believe you're referring to the astronomical clock and luckily I had heard that the chime sucked, soooo I didn't bother. Rest of the city was great though. (I'll try to figure out why you can't see them) |

Prague is an absolute fantastic city. Used in quite some film décors BTW. The first tripleX movie with Vinnie Diesel was filmed in Prague. Some James Bond movies. It seems that there is a very active jazz-scene! Paul TBO |
